Colorful Orchid(Aerides Crispa)

One of the colorful Orchid Aerides Crispa is a species of epiphytic orchid native to western India. The family of this   orchid is Orchidaceae. The altitude of this orchid is from 300mts to 1600mts. These orchids are endemic to W.Ghats in India, Srilanka & Myanmar. These orchids are common, flowering and fruiting is from May - June. These Orchids are alluringly fragnant. Vandeae is the tribe of this colorful Orchid Curled Aerides is an epiphytic orchid found in SW India at elevations of 800-1200m. It has a thick dull violet purple stem carrying spreading, thick leathery pale green leaves dull-violet purple basally. Leaves are strap shaped, bilobed unequally at the tip with a small tip between the lobes. Inflorescence is a 40-50cm long, erect to arching, branched 20 to 25 flowered cluster, carrying fragrant flowers. In fact, most Americans used things like corncobs (yikes), moss (ew), and pages torn from catalogs and books (ow). Buying paper just for bathroom use seemed silly. In the 6th century AD, in China the use of paper for hygiene purposes has been recorded. These specially manufactured toilet papers were being mass produced in the 14th century. In the 19th century modern commercial toilet paper originated, with a patent for roll-based dispensers being made in 1883. Doddakoppalu Kariyappa Ravi  commonly known as D.K Ravi. He was an Indian Administrative Service officer of Karnataka, from the 2009 batch. He was born on 10th June 1979 in Doddakoppalu village, Kunigal Taluk of tumkur district , Karnataka. He was from an agricultural family. He was a son of Kariyappa and Gowramma. He had two siblings; brother Ramesh and sister Bharathi.   EDUCATION D.K Ravi was graduated from the university of Agricultural sciences,Bangalore. He then pursued his post-graduation course in Zoology from Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. Before entering into civil service he worked as a sub inspector of Excise  for over a year and a half. He cleared the 2008 UPSC Civil Services Examination with an all India rank of 34.  He was trained at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie, form August 2009 - August 2011.
