Introduction


Apple is considered as one of the best fruits. Apples are grown in all parts of the world and are available in abundance in the month of August and September, although now they are grown all year round. Apples have been known to India over many centuries. 

Qualities in Apple


Apple has a sweet and sour taste. It's very nourishing and easily digestible and helps to quench thrust. It's very useful in decreasing the acidity in the stomach and vitalizes the heart, the brain, the lever and the stomach. It works as an appetizer and improves the quality of blood.

Fresh Apples juice is very convenient for the consumption. Of course, some quantity of apples can be masticated and eaten raw. But to get the benefits of more nutrients fresh apple juice is recommended.

Supporting the medical qualities of the apples,the American Medical Association has started that the apples are very useful in the cases of children's diarrhoea. Though the apples have laxative qualities, the pectin in it checks diarrhoea. 

Dr.J.H. Kellogg, the celebrated dietarian of battle creek,U.S.A is of the opinion that the apples are excellent disinfectant for stomach and intestines. He further states that it is a valuable remedy in jaundice and in cases in which the kidneys and the liver are diseased.

It is also recommended as a good remedy for gout and arthritis. Fresh apple juice is most wholesome when taken with honey.

Apples juice gives relief in the weakness of the nervous system, kidney-stone,acidity, indigestion, headche, biliousness,asthma and dysentery. 

Due to slight acid content in the apple there is an antiseptic influence upon the germs present in the mouth and teeth, when it is taken by chewing sufficiently. It may considered as a natural protector of the teeth and hence should be taken in all tooth troubles.
